TextMyGov Announcement
The Town of Thayne is thrilled to introduce TextMyGov, a convenient and smart text messaging service! This service will enable residents to effortlessly receive important notifications and easily find specific information by texting the Town of Thayne.
The Town will officially launch the new text messaging system to the public on March 2, 2026.Residents may receive a text message from 91896 from the Town initiating the service. Residents have the option to opt-out at any time by texting STOP.
If you don’t receive the initial message, you can choose to opt-in by texting the keyword “THAYNE” or “THAYNEREC” to the number 91896. After sending the initial keyword, you will be asked to reply “YES” to confirm opt-in. Residents may receive notifications for events, recreation league signups, water issues, etc. For specific text alerts, text one of the following keywords to the number 91896:
- For the most recent council meeting minutes notifications: MINUTES to 91896
Also starting soon, residents will be able to receive on-demand information 24/7 by texting 1-2 keywords to the Town’s TextMyGov number, 307-337-9235. You’ll be able to get quick information about WATER, ORDINANCES, MINUTES, and other Town information.
You will also receive a contact card for the Town’s two-way texting and/or notifications number. Save this file to your phone to be sure that any communications coming from that contact are from the Town and are not spam messages. Text the 10-digit number to find information and report issues. Receive notifications from the short code number and reply STOP to opt-out of receiving further messages.
The Town’s use of this technology is an example of our efforts to enhance resident services by implementing 21st-century solutions. We’re excited about this new way of communicating with residents and look forward to sharing important Town notifications.
